Travel search engine Holidu has just released its 2022 generational travel index, and we thought the readers of our Senior Spotlight just might like to know the results! So many of us dream of traveling when we retire, and while we have a growing list of where – there is always room for new ideas, right?
According to CNBC and Holidu, Baby Boomers (those born aged 1946-1964) spend the most money on food and value nature the most when choosing a vacation locale. They then created an index based on the amount of green space, types of landscapes and of course Michelin Guide restaurants – and these cities are those that they identified as the ‘Top 5 Cities For Baby Boomers Travelers.’
#1: Singapore, Singapore
#2: Kyoto, Japan
#3: Bern, Switzerland
#4: Stockholm, Sweden
#5: Tokyo, Japan
Singapore took the lead with 46.5% of the city’s land covered in green space yet still home to 249 Michelin Guide restaurants!
