Monday Market Update: The SF Bay Area Market Report Is Here

Explore the market trends that defined the first month of 2021 in this just-released report from Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Real Estate (GGSIR).

This week, we are pleased to bring you the January Market Report for the San Francisco Bay Area from GGSIR , presented in partnership with the Rosen Consulting Group (RCG). This statistical report of the regional housing market examines the ten counties associated with the Bay Area. This report focuses primarily on detached single-family homes, with added coverage of the significant condominium market in San Francisco. All data is sourced from local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) organizations.

*Note that data for our home county, San Mateo, starts on page 20. You may scroll to that page directly to see comparisons between home sales and price data year-over-year.

Report Highlights Include:

* Employment numbers on the ‘split recovery’ and where regional unemployment numbers landed

* Data on historically high sales despite seasonal slowing and a lack of inventory

* Projections on what to expect from housing in the next several months

* And more!

We encourage you to review the report and reach out with any questions at all about what this data means for you in 2021 and beyond.
