Monday Market Update: San Mateo County / First Stats of 2022

Have you seen the first set of home sales stats for San Mateo County?

February is almost behind us and by mid-next month, the sales stats for this second month of the year will be calculated and released. Until then, we wanted to ensure you have been given a glimpse of what the first month of 2022 brought to the market... check out the local infographic below!

*For national numbers, see last week's blog 'NAR® Existing Home Sales [Infographic]'.

The two notable trends in this data drop are the huge decrease in inventory from December 2021 to January 2022, and the already increasing home sales prices, nearly 5% and 3% for SFRs and condos respectively. It would appear from the sales thus far that 2022 will see continued demand amidst not enough supply and a related rise in home prices (and equity if you are an existing homeowner).

If you are thinking of selling in 2022 and would like a complimentary home valuation - please do not hesitate to reach out!
