Home values (and home prices!) have reached near-highs in many areas. Just last week, the National Association of Realtors (NAR)® released a report and interactive map depicting the median home values for 3,100 counties in the United States.
*Note that the home values represent the value of all homes, not home sales.
If you click
HERE or on the image below, you will be directed to the interactive map, which is also color coded by home value range.
The counties that ranked highest in terms of median home values during the first quarter of 2024 are:
- Nantucket County, MA: $1,705,210

The recently released NAR® resource also includes an overview of ‘Affordability By County’ in which you can compare the monthly mortgage payment for a median-priced home by county & state now and 12 months ago. Explore this tool by scrolling to the bottom of the page HERE.
We hope this new resource helps you learn about general home value trends across the country, and in your county and surrounding areas. As always, we encourage you to consider national and regional data as well as the micro-market trends in your community before making any decisions.
Knowledge is power – and we hope you think big and think local as you plan what’s best for you.
Happy Summer!
